WEYMOUTH PROJECT STATUS

Right of Way work: Work will occur during extended hours throughout the Town of Weymouth with work starting at 7:00 am and extending to 8:00 pm as necessary - work is likely to occur during the same hours on Saturdays as well.

|
Fence installation along the right of way is underway.
|
|
Weymouth Landing Underpass: East of the Commercial Street Bridge we have completed the rock stabilization as well as the removal of most of the material. Crews are installing a mesh and shot-crete covering as the final layer in the deep rock cut area.

|
East Weymouth Station: Work is complete at this time on the station platform at the East Weymouth Station. The Station Platform has been erected. Trucks continue to haul material out of the East Weymouth Station site as necessary.

|
Grade Crossings: Commercial at Gibbons has been re-opened to two-way traffic.
|
|
Track crews continue to pull rail across the grade crossing at Commercial and Swannee - this process takes a couple of minutes as the 1500 foot long track sections pass across Commercial Street.

|
Right of Way work: Drainage work is complete from Commercial Street at Gibbons to East Street including the Idlewell & Narragansett Bridges area except for some minor drainage system adjustments.

Track and Signal Work: Right of way signal cable installation in Weymouth is almost complete. Ballast, ties, and rail installation from Commercial Street at Gibbons to the Hingham Line is also nearly complete.

Bridge Work: Idlewell Bridge has been re-opened to traffic. There remain a number of minor construction is nearly complete - but the bridge will remain open
